Lego Technic has revealed yet another supercar replica kit. This time, it's based on Ferrari's recently launched Daytona SP3. The 3778-piece kit is a 1:8 scale replica of the mid-engine V-12 convertible, sporting the same butterfly doors, 12-cylinder engine, and eight-speed paddle-shifted gearbox.

When fully built, Lego Technic's SP3 measures over 5.5 inches high, 23 inches long and 9.5 inches wide. Because it's so large, designers were able to recreate many of the car's details, allowing for a replica that actually resembles the car it's based on. The front and rear fascias are spot-on, as are the rear decklid and interior.

The Technic Daytona SP3 kit will be available exclusively at Lego stores globally starting June 1, 2022 for $399.99. Starting August 1, it will become available at other retailers. Like most other Lego Technic kits, this is an incredibly complex build, with a rating of 18-plus. So if you do decide to tackle the assembly process, make sure you know what you're doing.

To commemorate the model's launch, Lego is making a coffee table book on the car's design process available to hardcore enthusiasts. The LEGO Technic Daytona SP's book, the Sense of Perfection, will become available on Lego.com starting on June 1, limited to just 5000 copies. Pricing for the book has yet to be announced.
