The one-off Pagani Zonda 760 LH formerly owned by seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has been taken off the road following an accident near the Penmaenbach tunnel in Conwy, Wales, images show.

Photos of the battered hypercar were uploaded to Instagram by photographer Ethan Gale, who goes by the username ethang.supercarphotographer. According to Gale’s comments under the post, the current owner of the Zonda walked away from the incident without any physical harm. The same can’t be said for the car, which features some knackered bodywork, a broken rear axle, a cracked windshield, and some missing lights. Gale says the owner lost control of the rear of the car after accelerating into the tunnel, resulting in a spin.

While there are only a handful or so of Zonda 760s out there, this LH model is genuinely a bespoke bit of kit. As the initials suggest, the car was commissioned by Sir Hamilton all the way back in 2014. The car features a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG, which comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission in this particular spec. It was actually the first Zonda 760 to get a manual gearbox, a move that came at the request of the world champion himself. The car is adorned with a ton of unique finishes, but is most known for all of the purple paint and accent work throughout. The video below highlights the ornate detailing work for those who wish to see the car’s better days.
