Road & Track's annual Hudson Quattrocento is just three months away. This year's route features a few new twists that make the adventure more unique than ever, but the heart of the trip is the same: Experiencing one of America's greatest racing tracks, Lime Rock Park.

Lime Rock's place in the American racing canon has been set since shortly after it opened in 1956. It has been the Hudson Valley's home of professional racing ever since, hosting just about every form of closed-fender racing you can imagine. Trans-Am, Can-Am, Grand-Am, IMSA GTP, Group 4, and just about every form of GT racing you can imagine have raced at the track over the years. These days, the schedule is headlined by a race for both of IMSA's GTD classes.

Lime Rock is for more than just professional racers, though. The track hosted an official drifting event for the first time when Grid Life visited last year. Track time is accessible through high performance driving events. A unique permanent autocross course sits in the infield, offering a very different challenge from the permanent, natural terrain road course. It has also long been a hub for testing here at Road & Track. Memorable tests at the track include our time with a McLaren F1, laps in FCP Euro's DTM-like 190E restomod, and our 2021 Performance Car of the Year testing in the heart of the pandemic.

At the Hudson Quattrocento, that time in Lime Rock Park will involve laps on both the permanent road course and the infield autocross layout. It is a chance to experience the best track in the region, the best part of any car lover's perfect week in the Hudson Valley.
