The Lincoln Zephyr Concept Is What the Continental Should Have Looked Like

Just like parent company Ford, Lincoln is no longer selling sedans in the U.S., but in China, it'll soon have a new one. A very good looking sedan, we might add. This is the Lincoln Zephyr Reflection preview car, a concept that's showing off the looks of a new sedan that'll hit production later this year. And while we know it likely wouldn't strong seller here, we can't help but wish Lincoln would sell this car in the U.S.

It's also hard not to imagine this as a sort of new Continental. When Lincoln brought back the Continental in 2017, it was perhaps doomed to fail, as the sedan market was rapidly contracting. But what if it had more visual flair? The 10th-generation Continental had a spectacular interior, but the exterior styling was just a bit too frumpy. Even the limited-edition Coach Door variant with its suicide doors didn't look all that dramatic. The new Zephyr, however, brings the drama with a fastback roof and all sorts of other neat details. Personally, I think it looks a bit like a Volkswagen Areton or Audi A7, and that's no bad thing.
