Lingenfelter Raffles Off a 650-HP V8 to Aid Make-A-Wish Foundation

Are you looking to support a great cause while hedging your bets for future tire destruction? Look no further than Lingenfelter’s Make-A-Wish for More Horsepower Eliminator Spec Engine Raffle. As a part of Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, Lingenfelter has teamed up with Kindig-It-Design and Summit Motorsports Park to fundraise $50,000 for children with critical illness by raffling off a custom-built Eliminator spec LS engine.

Pulled from the Kindig-It designed 1953 Corvette CF1 Roadster, the CNC-machined LS7 engine boasts 650 horsepower—and in a stunning package at that. Lingenfelter has been engineering performance cars and engines for nearly 50 years and its attention to durability is clear. With a ported LS3 head and forged rotating assemblies, Lingenfelter emphasized that this engine was built for longevity and streetability, though it’s certainly capable of a few quarter-mile runs. Other notable performance parts include Borla 8-Stack fuel injection, a house spec roller camshaft, and Billet Specialities Tru Trac front accessory drive.

While Lingenfelter values this engine at $30,000, one chance to win costs merely $50. Tickets are available in 1, 5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 ticket increments, available here. The winning ticket will be randomly drawn at the Lingenfelter 21st Annual Blue Suede Cruise on July 30th, 2022, by Dave Kindig of Kindig-It-Design. Hosted at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, attendance at the Blue Suede Cruise is not required for the winning ticket holder.

Because the engine will be made to order, the winner is allowed to request at-cost modifications prior to the engine being built. Once it’s been built and delivered, the winner is free to do as they please with their lumpy 7.0-liter V8. And in a world where the LS swap pervades, I’d choose the easy way out and make a Volvo 960 just a bit faster.
