Listening to James May Record Navigation Directions is Strangely Compelling

From Road & Track

We'll have to wait until November to see the results of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May's latest project, The Grand Tour, but honestly we're good with these weirdo videos of May. No need to go through and put together a big-budget TV show–we'll just take May doing voice overs.

Jeremy Clarkson tweeted a pair of short videos that feature May reading navigation directions in a recording studio. We're not sure if this will be in The Grand Tour as a voiceover, or if May will be featured in an app like Waze to promote the show, but does it matter?

"Make a u-turn," May proclaims. "Make a u-Turn!"

Perhaps it's his delivery, or his warm baritone timbre, but I could listen to May read directions–or anything, really–all day.

The Grand Tour premieres November 18th, but I know what I'll watch instead.
