LOOK: LSU women’s basketball receives gift from Vanessa Bryant ahead of Elite Eight

In the middle of a deep postseason run, LSU’s women’s basketball team got some swag on behalf of Vanessa Bryant, the wife of the late Kobe Bryant.

In a video posted to the team’s Twitter account, the group unboxed Kobe 6 Grinches.

The gift comes as LSU prepares for an Elite 8 showdown with the Miami Hurricanes. LSU squeaked by Utah in the Sweet 16 to earn its first Elite Eight appearance since 2008.

Angel Reese led LSU with 17 points and Alexis Morris added 15. In what’s become par for the course for Reese, she grabbed 12 rebounds, giving her a double-double.

LSU’s region worked out favorably with No. 9 seed Miami the opponent in the Elite Eight.
