When a US-spec Lotus Evora 400 with a stick is good enough to come second after an utterly complicated brand new supercar from Honda in our Performance Car of the Year test, you know Lotus has created something very special indeed.

Now, Lotus has a new version, with a dry weight of 2780 lbs. (in Europe without the air-con and with the titanium exhausts), more than twice the downforce, 410 horsepower and a top speed of 177 mph.

With all the added carbon fiber, the lithium-ion battery and the lack of sound deadening, the Evora 410 ended up having a lower center of gravity and an increase in compression and rebound, improving body control without ruining the ride. And this best of Lotus package still remains legal in America. For around $110,000, you can have one with a stick. We can't wait to get our hands on one when it makes it across the pond.
