Madelyn Cline Serves VSCO Girl Energy in "Outer Banks" Season 3 BTS Photos

Remember the VSCO girl trend that literally took over the Internet during 2019? The scrunchie-wearing, metal straw-using, Fjällräven backpack-toting aesthetic has since been replaced by TikTok favorites like kidcore, cottagecore, and coquette — but Madelyn Cline just totally brought it back and we're 10/10 excited about it. Her on-screen Outer Banks style is chill, beachy, and casual, a.k.a. the perfect opportunity to incorporate some VSCO girl ~nostalgia~.

Madelyn posted another perfect, perfect, perfect photo dump of goofy pics from OBX Season 3, posing with Carlacia Grant (who plays Cleo on the Netflix series) while showing off a bullseye. She wore a turquoise halter crop top with white cutoff shorts, and paired the spring break outfit with layered seashell necklaces and bracelets. Madelyn kept the upgraded VSCO vibe going in a way that's sooooo 2023 with "clean girl" minimal makeup and her hair pulled back.

In the second slide, a goofy video of Madelyn and Madison Bailey play "fighting," Madelyn wore a grey bra top with rolled-down baggy pants while Madison continued the VSCO vibes with beach-y bracelets and necklaces. And in the last photo, Madelyn busted out the oversized tee (a VSCO girl staple). She also showed off her trendy puffer phone case from The North Face.

Outer Banks Season 3 was released on Netflix in February 2023. Although Madelyn had to work with ex-boyfriend Chase Stokes throughout filming, she's currently in a relationship with singer-songwriter Jackson Guthy. Madelyn posted the sweetest shoutout for her man on his birthday, writing, "happiest of birthdays my love."
