Just when you thought German custom carmaker Mansory couldn't release anything more ridiculous, it comes out with this: the Gronos Coupé EVO C, a Mercedes-Benz G-Class that's been heavily modified into a coupe with suicide doors.

The Gronos Coupé EVO C, is, in typical Mansory fashion, highly modified and spectacularly blinged-out with heavy doses of carbon bodywork, plush diamond-stitched leather, gold interior trim, and 24-inch wheels. That nifty color-shifting paint is called "Fludium paint chrome atmosphere."

But this car is more than just a bunch of parts—Mansory had to strip the entire chassis down and perform some serious modifications to the pillars and body structure to get the two-door shape just right. Mercedes used to make a two-door G-Wagen, but hasn't since the mid-2000s. So if you want a new one, this is the only way to get it.

Mansory's modified the drivetrain to keep up with the flashy exterior, too. The company claims it's been able to squeeze 900 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 under the hood. It estimates a 0-62 time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

Mansory plans to build just 8 Gronos EVO S Coupes, though it hasn't revealed pricing. Like most Mansory creations, we suspect the funky SUV will cost several times more than the car it's based on, especially in this case, considering all of the body modifications.
