Renowned pastry chef and chocolatier Amaury Guichon has built a half-size replica of a Formula 1 car out of dark chocolate. The attention to detail is incredible as this chocolate car looks like it is ready to line up on the grid.

It is that time of year when Formula 1 fans all over the world anxiously await the reveal of the cars that will race in the upcoming season. Most will be revealed in early or mid-February. However, Guichon has beat all the race teams to the punch by revealing his own Formula 1 race car. Of course, the one that Guichon revealed would melt on the grid in Bahrain. That is because his car is made entirely of dark chocolate. One hundred and thirty pounds of it.

Guichon grew up in France and began to study cooking at just 14 years old. He quickly decided that he wanted to specialize in pastry and began an apprenticeship in Geneva, Switzerland. Over the years he has gone on to win many awards for his pastry and chocolate creations. He was the host of the Netflix series School of Chocolate. He runs the Pastry Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The chocolate Formula 1 car is full of tiny details such as the racing harness and a steering wheel that give the car a look that is incredibly like a real car. The question is, just what car did he use as a model? Well, he uses car number 14, which is the racing number of Fernando Alonso. However, the chocolate car does not have the Aston Martin livery. The chocolate car is painted bright red on top with a black bottom half. So, it must be a Ferrari.

Ferrari didn’t have the fastest car on the grid last year, and its 2024 results remain to be seen. But, as far as we know, they are the only team to have a Formula 1 car rendered in chocolate.
