The Mercedes-Maybach Coupe Concept Will Be Gigantic

From Road & Track

Mercedes-Benz has been pushing itself into the upper end of the luxury spectrum as of late. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 Sedan is the automaker's latest effort to punch a hole in a market previously reserved for the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces of the world. And now, it's introducing a second ultra-luxury model, in the form of a new Maybach coupe concept.

There isn't much info beyond the above picture, a profile shot that reveals a surprisingly sporty design and the distinct Maybach pillar badge. The only other info Mercedes revealed is the car's length, at nearly 20 feet. The company is unveiling the concept in-full at next week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance-not surprising given some of the wealthiest car enthusiasts on Earth will be in attendance.

We can assume the car will be an extremely luxurious two-door, built to compete with cars like the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé (a car with virtually no competition in its segment). Other than that, it's anyone's best guess to as what the automaker has in store for us in Monterey.
