If you've ever watched Carpool Karaoke from The Late Late Show with James Corden and thought, "I should be there," now is your chance . . . kind of. Here is a line of microphones inspired by the CBS segment that will take your car performances to the next level.
You've seen celebrities from Justin Bieber to Jennifer Lopez to former First Lady Michelle Obama take the "stage" on Carpool Karaoke. Although you probably won't find yourself in the driver's seat any time soon, the microphone will have you feeling like a star while you blast your favorite tunes.
The Carpool Karaoke Mic from Singing Machine debuted at the New York Toy Fair in February. This was a chance for attendees to experience it firsthand. Best Products senior editor Dana Baardsen attended the fair and saw the mic for herself.
"The Carpool Karaoke Machine will liven up any carpool. While it's perfect for kids, let's be honest, adults are going to go crazy for this. Just remind the driver not to karaoke and drive!" she said.
The mic can be connected to the car's FM tuner wirelessly or via aux cord. The Bluetooth connectivity allows audio to stream from any music or karaoke app. It has a built-in rechargeable battery with independent mic volume and echo controls. You'll put on a show as the lights pulse in sync with the music. It will go on sale this summer for $49.99.
