Mid-engine cars have an advantage in the handling department because all the weight is in the middle. But when it comes to storage, mid-engine cars usually fall short. There are some exceptions, however.

Take the Porsche Cayman as an example. The Cayman, no matter the generation, has two separate trunks - one in the front, and one in the back. I daily-drove a 2014 Cayman for the better part of last year, and I can't count the times I've filled up both trunks to the brim. I even took the car camping for a weekend, and was able to fit a tent, pillows, and a sleeping bag with no issues. If there's one mid-engine car I'd recommend as a daily, it'd be the Cayman.
