A new music video from Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson is an event in itself. This one, for the new single "Nothing Breaks Your Heart," is filled with interesting details, particularly for those of us who like spotting and identifying cars. Heavily featured is a W220-generation Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan, which Miley drives (and at times, doesn't drive) through numerous scenes including a freeway car chase, a strip club, a shooting range, and a Black Friday–style shopping scenario.

The freeway chase scene in the video is clearly modeled after the infamous low-speed O.J. Simpson chase that took place in Los Angeles on the 405 freeway in 1994, although this particular video takes place on I-65, seemingly between Nashville and Chicago. In Miley's video, the S-class is followed closely by several police cars, including period-correct Chevrolet Caprice sedans from the 1990s and Chevrolet Tahoe SUVs, which are actually from a later generation that didn't debut until the 2000s.

In another scene, in which Miley drives the S-class through a brick wall, we spotted what looks like a Toyota Cressida from the 1980s. A black Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan from the late 1970s also makes an appearance.

Later in the video, Mark Ronson shows up in a second W220 S-class and drives alongside Miley on the freeway before some acrobatics take place and the two end up in the same car. By the end of the video, in what is perhaps a predictable turn of events, the S-class meets a spectacular end in a slowed-down crash that sees car parts flying all over the place.

While we can't speculate on the particular meaning of selecting this exact Mercedes-Benz model, there are other tidbits to be found on the car, such as the Tennessee license plate (read it backward and upside down to figure out the meaning). Check out the video below to see these cars in action.
