Yahoo Autos Monster Trucks Continue to Do Things That Look Downright Impossible
Think of a Monster Jam truck-more than 10,000 lbs, sitting on six-foot-six-inch-tall tires, with a rip-snorting 575-cubic-inch V8 making thunder under a wild fiberglass body. These things were made to stomp junk cars and roar through the air.
You might not think they were made for extreme precision gymnastics. But that's where you'd be wrong. And 21-year-old Tyler Menninga is here to prove it. Just watch as Menninga, one of eight drivers on the Grave Digger team for 2018, balances that big honkin' Chevy on its front tires for what seems like forever:
Menninga might be young-2018 is just his third season driving in Monster Jam-but the nose wheelie has quickly become his signature move. The video above, shot during Monster Jam Triple Threat in Tampa, Florida just a few days ago, is certainly impressive. But it's not even Menninga's longest nose wheelie. That record was set in Cedar Rapids in 2017, when Menninga parked Grave Digger on its front axle for nearly 80 seconds. Just watch:
