Yahoo Autos Is This the Most Beautiful Maserati Ever Made?
The 1953 Maserati A6 GCS Berlinetta by Pininfarina is a race car with its accelerator pedal in the middle and a gearbox you wish you could operate with two hands. Four were made for a businessman called Guglielmo Dei, and of the two that survived, this red example resides at the Panini Motor Museum, home of all gorgeous Maseratis.
The story of race car couldn't get more Italian. After being crashed by the Sicilian buyer during a race within the first year, the car went back to Maserati for repairs, only for him not to pick up the bill later. The museum's collection acquired it straight from Maserati's warehouse, complete with it's 2-liter straight-six, quick fill fuel cap and noisy sidepipes.
Oh, and it's probably the most beautiful Maserati ever made.
