Mountune's Big Turbo Kit For The Fiesta ST Gives it 280 Horsepower

We here at Road & Track love the Fiesta ST. It's an agile, balanced, affordable little hatch that we just can't get enough of. The 1.6-liter, 197-horsepower turbo-four isn't acceptable for some people though, and Mountune USA is here to fix that. It's just announced a turbo upgrade kit for the Fiesta ST, and it's capable of making an absurd 280 horsepower.

Ken Anderson, president of Mountune USA, told Autoblog on Saturday the tuning company would be introducing a kit for Fiesta ST owners to swap out their existing turbochargers for a larger unit, along with an accompanying ECU tune. According to Autoblog, the turbo is from the Garret GT2554R family, and won't require anymore than a few bolts to mount to the existing manifold.

Anderson hasn't revealed any other details regarding the package yet, like torque numbers or pricing, but he did say it will go on sale later this year. If you're holding out for the Fiesta RS that'll probably never come, this might be your next best option.
