Yahoo Autos This Is How Much Faster an 8000 Horsepower Funny Car Is Than a Street Car
If you've never gone to an NHRA event, you don't know what you're missing. The cars are beasts that can get to 300 mph in 1000 feet. That's crazy.
Obviously, that's way faster than a street car, but how much faster? To find out, Tony Pedregon and Del Worsham put a Toyota Camry up against a Toyota Camry funny car. The only thing that they share is the name. The Camry drag racer has something like 8000 horsepower while the Camry has less than 300. The speed difference is crazy.
