Most people consider the mid-engine 4C to be Alfa's return to America after it stopped selling cars here in the '90s, but really, it was the ultra-limited front-engined 8C Competizione.

Powered by a 450-horsepower 4.7-liter V8 sourced from the Maserati GranTurismo, the 8C sends power through a seven-speed automated paddle-shift gearbox to a limited-slip differential. Torque peaks at 354 lb.-ft., while redline is 7600 rpm.

The stunning body is made almost entirely of carbon fiber, while most of the interior is handcrafted. In true Alfa fashion, the leather looks impeccable.

Only 500 8C coupes were produced in total. Of those, just 90 were sold in the US. We drove one when it was new, and thought it was a phenomenal machine. Chicago Motor Cars is asking just under $300,000 for this example, and while that may seem like a lot, we have a feeling this car will only appreciate in value.
