If you're looking to stand-out at your off-roading club's next meetup, this might be the truck for you. It's a fully custom Land Rover Discovery that's been turned into an awesome-looking open-top Defender pickup truck.
The truck, which started out life as a Discovery, has been completely transformed by a company called DAP. The original is unrecognizable from the new body, which looks like a Defender, except for with a sloped windshield, cut doors, and a pickup bed.
According to the eBay listing, this truck, called the Sahara, is the only one of its kind in the United States. So if your goal is to one-up everyone next time you hit the trails, we have a feeling this will do just that.
The truck features the same drivetrain as a North American-spec Defender, which means a 4.0-liter aluminum V8, a ZF automatic, and permanent four-wheel drive. Throw in the 10.5-inch axle ground clearance and 11-inch suspension travel, and you'll have no problem driving through just about anything.
As of this writing, the truck currently sits at a high bid of $8000 with reserve not met. For a one-of-a-kind truck like this, we think it could be worth it.
