What If You Never Let Your Revs Drop Below 4000 RPM?

From Road & Track

Imagine you're 15, and you get the chance to buy a crashed 1998 Acura Integra GSR. It was imported from the UK, but since then has been stolen eight times-only to end up with a trashed interior and body, a corroded engine block, and all the character a white Honda can have. You might choose to go for it, mostly because you're too young to know better.

Then again, if you're studying mechanical engineering and know what's what, like this guy Louis does, that turd can get a second chance. In this case, that means a new interior imported from Japan, a fully-built high-compression engine with forged pistons, upgraded cams. Redline is in the nines, sending at least 220 horsepower to the wheels.

A 2200-lb. car with a light flywheel and a heavy clutch might not sound like the best daily driver, but with a selectable power steering unit from a Toyota MR2, Koni yellow shocks all around, Honda's brilliant short shifter five-speed and VTEC kicking in at 5700 rpm, it's no Camry either.
