2016 Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition: Live At The 2015 Chicago Auto Show
The Hyundai Veloster’s quirky style and available turbocharged power have made it a fun, practical choice. Now, an even sportier variant is on the market, introduced at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show: the 2016 Veloster Rally Edition.

With a sportier suspension tune than even the Turbo R-Spec model, the Rally Edition aims to up the ante for those wanting more out of their hatch. With the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine from the Turbo, the Rally Edition rates 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque on regular gasoline.
Upgrades specific to the Rally Edition include the sportier spring, damper, and stabilizer bar settings; RAYS lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels which save 5 pounds per corner; a B&M Racing Sport shifter; carbon fiber-look aerodynamic add-ons; exclusive matte blue paint; and “Rally Edition” badging and floor mats.
In addition, the Rally Edition is only available in six-speed manual form—a nod to its performance intent.

Other updates across the 2016 Veloster range also end up in Rally Edition, including a revised hood with no vents; a dark gray grille surround; wider tires; and a new audio and navigation system.
Only 1,200 2016 Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition units are planned. Sales begin in May.
