Refreshed 2015 Volkswagen Jetta Debuts at New York Auto Show

Reflecting a mid-life refresh, the updated 2015 Volkswagen Jetta was introduced at the 2014 New York Auto Show. Volkswagen's best-selling car gets several styling enhancements, though you might need to look carefully to spot them. In front, the grille, front bumper, and fog lights are revised, while around back the 2015 Jetta is equipped with a new trunk lid, bumper, and taillights.

The result is improved aerodynamics, VW says, especially for models with the 1.8-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the Jetta TDI Clean Diesel, both of which gain active grille shutters. Low-rolling-resistance tires are also standard, and the sporty Jetta GLI and fuel-efficient Jetta Hybrid models receive standard LED taillights.

Inside, Volkswagen spruces up the 2015 Jetta's cabin with more upscale trim on certain versions, combined with new upholstery colors and designs, available ambient lighting, and a new multi-function steering wheel design. New options for the car include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, a frontal-collision warning system, park-distance control, bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, and an adaptive front-lighting system.
