When Gran Turismo first appeared in 1997, it brought a level of realism to racing games previously unexperienced prior. Every subsequent entry into the franchise has upped the ante, and the newest, Gran Turismo Sport, looks to continue this tradition. That's why it's been delayed.

Gran Turismo released a new trailer for Sport for the annual PlayStation Experience conference, using it as an opportunity to highlight its slick graphics. There are a lot of technical terms and acronyms to describe the tech used in Sport's developments, but all we see is what looks like a stunning racing game.

There's nothing new revealed that we haven't seen in previous trailers, but this newest preview is still mesmerizing to watch. One thing to note, though, is that the cars sound much more realistic than in previous Gran Turismo releases. This was always the series' weak point, so finally nailing audio will be a welcome step forward with Sport.

Unfortunately, the trailer only says Gran Turismo Sport is coming at some point in 2017. If these clips are any indication, it'll be worth the wait.
