Want to confuse a bunch of people at your next local car meet? We can't think of a better way to do it than this Pontiac Fiero. It's been treated to a comprehensive Porsche body conversion kit, wearing the face of a 996-generation 911, a roof scoop, and a set of GT2 RS side decals. It's for sale right now on Craigslist in New York.

According to the listing, this is a 1988 model-year Fiero that's just had its 2.8-liter V-6 engine rebuilt. It's also been treated to a slew of new parts, including a new clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, exhaust, battery, and an overhauled brake system. It's said to be in excellent condition, despite carrying a New York State rebuilt title.

Judging by the pictures, the body panels seems to be aligned well. From some angles up front, you might actually be able to convince someone this is a Porsche 911. Maybe.

The interior is in equally good shape, but hasn't been treated to the same level of customization as the outside—it's pure Fiero in there, right down to the steering wheel, seats, and gauge cluster.

The car is currently listed for sale on Craigslist in Kew Gardens, a neighborhood in Queens, with an asking price of $4800. Pretty cheap, but if you're looking for a fun mid-engine sports car, we'd recommend spending a few thousand more to get an actual Boxster instead. But if shock factor is what you're after, we'd have a hard time coming up with an affordable alternative.
