OnePlus has teamed up with none other than the iconic car manufacturer McLaren to create a special edition of the popular 6T Android smartphone. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has a distinctive design and even beefier hardware than the already superb “regular” version.

The coolest bit about the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is its design, headlined by McLaren branding, a carbon-fiber pattern underneath its glass back, and the use of the supercar manufacturer’s signature Papaya Orange color. The retail box of the special-edition smartphone includes McLaren’s legendary Speedmark logo, crafted from the same AA-grade carbon fiber that’s used in the car manufacturer’s Formula 1 racing cars.

I had a chance to take a closer look at the McLaren-branded OnePlus 6T, and it looks amazing in the metal. The carbon-fiber pattern and the Papaya Orange bits make the newcomer stand out in a market full of great-looking phones.

The hardware specs of the special-edition OnePlus 6T include an industry-leading 10 GB of RAM for even more effortless multitasking. That’s a 25% bump over the already impressive 8 GB of available RAM on the standard OnePlus 6T.

Even more impressively, the McLaren Edition OnePlus 6T has even faster-charging tech than the already insanely rapid standard variant. Dubbed Warp Charge 30, it helps the phone get enough power for a full day of use in only 20 minutes. Rather awesomely, the device’s braided charging cable has a Papaya Orange finish too.

The rest of the device’s top-shelf specs are in line with those of the standard OnePlus 6T. They include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, a sharp 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a fingerprint sensor underneath, and 256 GB of built-in storage, to name a few.
