The first Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition truck is scheduled to cross the block at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, on March 26, 2021.
All proceeds from the sale are reportedly going to charity.
A special VIN authentication kit will be sold with the truck
If you’re a serious collector, here’s your chance to own the first VIN of the Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition. The folks at Ram are auctioning the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, this March. They also pledge to donate 100 percent of the proceeds of this special 702-hp Ram to charity.
If you’re out of the loop on the Ram 1500 TRX, let’s get you up to speed. Essentially, this Ram is a production version of the desert-racing-inspired TRX concept that debuted in 2016. While this Ram has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 making over 700 hp, its story doesn’t end there. It also has an off-road-ready suspension and an optional bed-mounted spare tire. The Ram 1500 TRX is also, well, built on the sound bones of the Ram 1500.
If you’re wondering why one might want to jump to the front of the line for this TRX and pay a giant premium instead of just waiting for an MSRP-priced example to show up at the local dealer, for some, the idea of owning the first of a special car is worth the cost. With that in mind, the folks at Ram are also including a special VIN authentication kit with this gray Launch Edition Ram 1500 TRX.
If you want to donate a lot of money to charity and drive away in a new Ram TRX, or if you’re a serious collector that needs the first VIN, you’ll be able to bid on this truck on March 26, 2021. It’s safe to assume that this rig will shoot past the list price, so get those certified checks ready.
