Pagani May Go for a New Nurburgring Record with the Huayra BC

From Road & Track

After a long tease, Pagani finally revealed the track-focused version of its current supercar, the Huayra BC. Packing a 6.0-liter AMG-sourced V12 making at least 750 horsepower, a huge rear wing, and an aggressive aero package, it was also significantly lighter than the more pedestrian Huayra.

One key thing Pagani has yet to release, though, is exacly how quick those changes make the Huayra BC. But that may be about to change because Pagani was spied testing at the Nurburgring, potentially ahead of an official record-chasing run.

Both the Lamborghini Aventador SV and the Porsche 918 Spyder have broken the seven minute mark, so the Huayra will have to fly if it wants to beat either of them. It'll also have to contend with the Koenigsegg One:1, which is sure to be on track to set the all-out record once it does a complete timed run. As you can tell from the video below, though, it definitely looks fast. And it sounds pretty darn good, too.

In addition to testing at the Nurburgring, Pagani also recently added the below post to Facebook. The "to be continued" part at the end is just cryptic enough to suggest that it plans to make a record run fairly soon.
