Fiat Chrysler's Mopar parts division is using next week's SEMA show in Las Vegas to showcase a pair of modified 2019 Ram 1500 pickups. Both Mopar and FCA use SEMA to gauge customer interest in parts that could reach production, and both Ram concepts seem as though they could easily be made real. The two trucks are two sides of the same pickup coin, "[reinforcing] the street and off-road personalities" of the Ram 1500.

First up is the Ram 1500 Rebel concept, the more production-ready of the two. Mopar used parts and accessories from its production catalog (which includes more than 200 parts), with some of the features designed specifically for this concept. The off-road-ready Rebel is painted in a custom color called Rebel Smoke, satin-black exterior graphics are taken from the Mopar catalog, and all of the exterior badging has been painted gray. The 18-inch beadlock wheels, running boards, gloss-black exhaust tips, and bed-mounted bar with LED lights are all production Mopar pieces, and the Rebel also gets a two-inch lift kit from Mopar. Conceptual touches include the bed-mounted spare-tire carrier and a redesigned hood, which includes a functional scoop. On the inside, the Rebel has black trim in place of the production Rebel's anodized red bits. Floor mats and doorsill guards are Mopar units, while the pedals were designed for this concept.

The Ram 1500 Low Down concept, on the other hand, is all about sportiness. Based on the Big Horn version of the Ram pickup, the concept gets a two-tone color scheme that Mopar has dubbed Brassphault. The upper body is painted gloss black, while the lower half is Billet Silver; a Brass Monkey pinstripe divides the two, and all of the badging has been turned gloss black. Production Mopar bits include a hard tonneau cover and gloss-black exhaust tips. The Low Down is two inches lower thanks to a prototype suspension kit, and its 22-inch wheels use an oversized production design. The conceptual flared wheel arches and scooped hood add to the aggressive look. Like the Rebel, the Low Down has Mopar floor mats and doorsills and a custom pedal kit.

Both the Rebel and the Low Down are powered by the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine, and both trucks have a Mopar Ram Airflow cold-air intake.

At the 2018 SEMA show, which starts on October 30,the two Rams will be on display alongside a dozen other customized cars and trucks from FCA.
