In celebration of Matchbox's 70th anniversary, the Petersen Automotive Museum is hosting the "70 Years of Matchbox Cruise-In" this Sunday, October 29, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. PST.

The event, honoring the iconic brand from Mattel, Inc., will provide attendees with an opportunity to engage in a free cruise-in featuring a panel discussion with Matchbox designers Bryan Benedict and Julian Payne. Adding to the festivities, renowned street artist Mr. Brainwash will showcase a special feature for fans and enthusiasts.

Additional event highlights include:

  • A unique photo opportunity for attendees, who can park their cars against a life-sized Matchbox packaging backdrop.

  • Complimentary offerings for registered attendees, including coffee, bagels, parking, and a celebratory cupcake.

Following the cruise-in, participants can embark on a rally to Santa Paula, granting them access to an exclusive car collection exploration. The rally will also feature a lunch for participants. Tickets for this additional post-cruise-in event are priced at $75.

The museum invites all vehicle owners and spectators to attend the free cruise-in, encouraging car aficionados and Matchbox fans to come together and commemorate this significant milestone.
