Petersen Museum Hosts A New Automotive Art Exhibit

The Petersen Automotive Museum has announced its latest exhibit which promises to be one of its most imaginative yet. Called “Eyes on the Road: Art of the Automotive Landscape” its purpose is to explore the bold frontier area where art, car-centered spaces, and concept cars overlap. This promises to be an experience gearheads and art fans can revel in alike.

Find out just how much it costs to maintain the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Among the items which will be on display, according to the museum, are various concept cars as well as art pieces from the great Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, and David Hockney.

In the exhibit will be five sections: vehicle concepts, sign language, at the pump, highways, and street art. Visitors will journey through each one and enjoy a unique fusion of art, car culture, and experimental automobiles.

As one might guess, the vehicle concepts section will be full of concept cars, but not just any. They will be rare and especially fantastical, all hailing from the 1930s and 1950s when designers often shot for the stars, sometimes literally.
