Pickleball's 14-year-old wunderkind Anna Leigh Waters has officially changed the conversation when it comes to her playing prowess.

The talk used to be about how she was such a good player for being so young. Now when her name comes up the conversation is more like "Is she the best pickleball player in the world?"

Waters picked up another impressive double victory Sunday at the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championship held in Indian Wells. She won the women's singles title and the women's doubles with her playing partner, and mom, Leigh Waters.

The duo burst on the scene by winning this event in 2019 and then made it back-to-back on Sunday. The event was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Waters wasn't the only double-gold winner at the event. Tyson McGuffin and Riley Newman also accomplished the feat.

Men's doubles: The gold medal match featured McGuffin and Riley Newman taking on Callan Dawson and Johnson. It was all McGuffin and Newman, winning 11-3, 11-1, 11-6.

Mixed doubles: In the first meeting in the winner’s bracket final, Lindsey and Riley Newman took down Lucy Kovalova and Matt Wright 11-5, 11-8, but it was a different story in the gold medal match as Kovalova and Wright won 12-10, 11-8. That set up a one-game winner-take-all matchup to 15 points. It was all Riley Newman as he turned it up and took charge leading him and big sister Lindsey to the gold medal 15-9.
