In case you need a reminder the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is fast, Carfection has just the thing: a video clip shot from inside a GT3 as it hits 300 km/h (186 mph) on the Autobahn at night.

Porsche took the new GT3 RS to the Nurburgring a few weeks back, where it set a wildly quick 6:56.4 lap time, beating out cars like the 918 Spyder, Aventador SV, and Viper ACR. It's worth noting the GT3 did all this without the assistance of all-wheel drive or forced induction.

Henry Catchpole of Carfection got the opportunity to take a GT3 RS out for a quick spin on a delimited stretch of Germany highway at night, achieving an indicated speed of exactly 300 km/h before running into traffic. Considering all the drag-generating downforce the car has, we'd say that's damn impressive. Give the car enough room, and it'll top out at 193 mph, according to Porsche.
