Porsche's Salute to Audi's Le Mans Achievements Is Pure Class

After 18 incredibly successful years, Audi is out of the Would Endurance Championship and with that, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That's a huge deal.

You can call it the result of Dieselgate,Porsche's victories in the last two years, or perhaps that they had nothing left to prove, but the fact remains that Joest Racing is now trying to sell the car (without the hybrid stuff) to keep it on track with Audi's blessing, while the WEC lost arguably its most important OEM.

It'll be Porsche against Toyota as long as Peugeot doesn't commit to a radical move, which means Porsche is losing a worthy opponent. But if anyone, they know how hard can it be to afford Le Mans. This is their farewell to Ingolstadt's best, for now:
