From Road & Track

All Lamborghini Diablos are cool, but some variants are cooler than others. The ultra-rare Diablo GTR race car is probably one of the coolest of them all. Only 30 were built for Lamborghini's one-make Supertrophy series–a precursor to today's Super Trofeo series–and Diablo GTR #022 just turned up for sale at a dealer in Denmark.

We think you–yes, you–should probably buy it.

An evolution of the supremely cool road-going Diablo GT, the Diablo GTR came equipped with a 590-hp 6.0-liter version of Lamborghini's famous V12 hooked up to a five-speed manual gearbox. No sequentials here, thank you very much.

The rest of the Diablo GTR's specs are pure race car as well. Lamborghini both stiffened and added an integrated roll cage to the Diablo's tube frame for the GTR, and bolted a big rear wing directly to the chassis. The interior was stripped out and fitted with all the safety equipment you need for racing, and most of the body panels were replaced with carbon fiber.

The Diablo GTR also received a number of suspension, braking, and cooling modifications to better suit it for track use. Eighteen-inch center-lock wheels, an air-jacking system, and a race-spec fuel tank complete the package.

This particular example looks lovely in white and apparently only has 10,000 kilometers (6,213 miles) on the clock. It has a frame for a rear license plate, but don't expect to be able to register it in the US. This is a track car.

Unfortunately, a price for this car isn't listed, but we do know the Diablo GTR sold for over $300,000 new. We'd expect this car to be similarly expensive.
