Proenza Schouler's FW22 Collection Is About Finding Beauty in the Chaos

Kicking off New York Fashion Week, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough showcased their Fall/Winter 2022 collection for Proenza Schouler. The runway was accompanied by a violin performance as models like Bella Hadid took the stage wearing corseted tops, relaxed suits and more.

"'How do we find beauty in the chaos and use it as a creative starting point to build the future?" the show's notes read. The designer duo aimed to answer the question "Where will we go next?" through a collection of tailored garments hugging the body. Keeping comfort in mind, the creatives created seamless corset silhouettes using a technique that allows the pieces to be knit in circles. These designs were seen on loose-fitted suits, as well as strapless dresses. Throughout the neutral-toned collection, pops of color were added to a vibrant purple shirtdress, in addition to an animal print dress with glitchy creased detailing.
