The Sixties’ Endurance Race of the 2017 Spa Classic was a two hours race dedicated to pre-1963 sports, and pre-1966 GT cars. That left it open for a wide range of fast contenders, including Shelby Cobra 289s, 3.8-liter Jaguar E-Types, Morgan SLRs, TVR Granturas, Lotus Elans and Elites, Austin Healeys, C2 Corvettes, MG Bs, Shelby Mustangs, and Porsches including various 356s and early 911s.

Their 2.0 flat-sixes put 1965 and 1966 Porsche 911s into the GT2 class, against MGs, Lotuses, TVRs, Alfa Romeos, and such oddities as the BMW-powered Elva GT 160. Yet the air-cooled team found time to have Spa-Francorchamps just for themselves, giving the curbs past Eau Rouge all the action they deserve.
