The Ram 1500 TRX remains the undeniable king of the pickup truck segment here in the United States. Not only is it the quickest, fastest and most powerful truck to ever be mass-produced, but it packs a serious amount of hardware to ensure it dominates lesser vehicles off-road. To continue that domination, Stellantis announced on Tuesday it will once again expand its Hellcat V-8-powered lineup with the all-new Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition.

Slated to arrive on dealer lots later this summer, every Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition starts as a Level 2 Equipment Group equipped truck. From there, Ram has added a suite of visual and hardware tweaks intended to give customers a more personalized feel than the standard TRX. The Sandblast Edition will arrive with unique Mojave Sand exterior paint, which is offset with a trim-exclusive graphics package and unique 18-inch all-black bead-lock capable wheels. The package also includes a spray-in bed liner complete with cargo tie-downs, as well as an integrated bed step for ease of access. Out back you’ll also find the truck’s new cab-mounted LED brake light. Unfortunately for the horsepower freaks among us, Ram has decided not to fiddle with the truck’s 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine. Output remains a measly 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. This shouldn't be too surprising for fans, as this whole recipe mirrors the limited-run of Ignition Edition models also offered for 2o22.

In an effort to further differentiate between models, the Sandblast Edition carries a few tweaks over the standard TRX’s interior. That starts with the unique Light Frost accent stitching, which complements the embroidered TRX seatback logo. The truck also gets a leather and carbon flat-bottom steering wheel, which should prove useful when you’re crossed up in the desert. You’ll also find a smattering of additional carbon fiber accents, which hint at the level of performance on offer from the truck. Ram has even gone as far as to program the HUD and infotainment graphics to feature a TRX finished in the unique Mojave Sand hue. The package also includes some safety systems like adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist and emergency braking.

While the Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition doesn’t bring performance-altering tweaks to the supertruck, that doesn’t mean it comes cheap. With the package equipped, customers are looking at a truck that will start at $100,080 after destination charges. The TRX in general brings a lot to the table for that price, but that’s a healthy upcharge from a standard TRX, which now starts at $79,675. That difference mostly comes down to the Level 2 Equipment Group, but is worth noting regardless. The truck looks great in that new hue either way, and based on current demand, Ram will have no trouble moving them.
