In the world of classic sports cars, few vehicles carry the prestige and racing pedigree of the 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Spyder. This particular model, with a storied history of competing in some of the most challenging races, including the Le Mans in 1959, has recently undergone a meticulous restoration, bringing it back to its former glory.

Originally delivered to American racer Ed Hugus, this 718 RSK Spyder became a familiar sight on U.S. tracks, participating in SCCA and USAC races throughout the early 1960s. Its crowning moment was at the 1962 Pikes Peak Automobile Hill Climb, showcasing its endurance and speed. The Spyder’s recent restoration by Rare Drive, Inc. has returned it to the iconic “Lucybelle III” Le Mans 1959 livery, honoring its historical significance.
