This Rare, Weird, Low-Mileage Slantnose 911 Can Be Yours for $900,000

From Road & Track

The 964 generation of the Porsche 911 is a cool car in its own right, but if you want the coolest and the rarest version, you'll have to find a Slantnose 964. Unfortunately for collectors, fewer than 100 were ever produced, and only a handful were built with right-hand drive. The fact that this car is for sale is crazy enough, but to top it all off, it only has 630 miles on it.

As the story goes, Porsche had 90 left-over 964 chassis when it was finished producing the 964 Turbo, so it created the special Slantnose version to use the remaining parts. It's a controversial look, one that's become increasingly sought after by collectors.

This particular car is said to be part of a much larger collection and has never been offered for sale before. With only 630 miles on the odometer, we imagine it's about as close to a "new" Slantnose as you're ever going to find. And from the looks of it, it may as well be brand new.

Hexagon Classics is offering this 964 Turbo Slantnose in London for an asking price of £625,000-or roughly $903,345 at today's exchange rate. Steep money for sure, but as it turns out, the flatter the headlights on a 964, the higher the price.
