From Road & Track

After somebody payed well over $200,000 for the first RWB Porsche built in America, now the second is up for grabs at RM Sotherby's Santa Monica auction for an estimated figure that seems much more reasonable. Of course it has to be said that this 1991 Targa comes with no turbo in sight.

The second RWB car completed in the U.S. was built by Akira Nakai right around the same time he applied his giant-flare magic to Brian Scotto's budget Turbo. The list of modifications on the Targa includes a Stage 2 Hakama kit with a V3 coil-over suspension, 18-inch "brushed bronze" wheels by Floss Designs, and a custom sound system with touchscreen and backup camera. It's got the aero flicks, the ducktail and enough German words to get you a beer at a Nürburg pub without having to resort to hand gestures.

RM Sotherby's estimates this Carrera 2 Targa will fetch $95,000 - $105,000 this Saturday, and is also sorry to inform everybody that the 1970 Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 that was slated for the same auction has been withdrawn.

If you don't want to wait for the next time Nakai-san makes it to North America, this might be your reasonably priced ticked into the RWB club.
