Ravens S Chuck Clark shares what it was like playing in 2022 with looming questions about future

The Baltimore Ravens housed one of the best defensive units in all of football during the 2022 season. They got off to a somewhat rocky start, but got into their comfort zone and never looked back as they dominated for most of the year.

One player who played an instrumental role in the defense’s play was safety Chuck Clark. There were plenty of rumors surrounding Clark’s future during the 2022 offseason, and when asked about how it felt to play with looming questions, the safety opened up on the process that went into everything, saying it was tough at first.

“It was tough in the beginning, honestly. The people around here, they could tell you, I was frustrated. It was mentally challenging. I overcame it, and once I started balling, I got in my comfort zone – getting out there on the field and getting back to it. In the offseason, you’re not out there playing football – you’re just working out, training [and] can’t wait for the season – but once the season rolled around, and I got back out there playing ball, it just all kind of went away. I was like, ‘When the season ends, I guess, it will all handle itself,’ so now here the end of the season is; we’ll see what’s going to happen.”
