Recall: Software Glitch in 131,700 Ram Trucks Can Cause Stalling
Ram is recalling 2021 model trucks equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi engine and mild-hybrid eTorque system.
Reports indicate that the powertrain control module can cause an over-rich condition in the cylinders, which can lead to the truck stalling.
Ram plans on notifying dealers and customers on June 2, 2023.
If the 5.7-liter Hemi eTorque in your 2021 Ram 1500 is randomly stalling, you’re not alone. Ram is recalling 131,700 of these trucks because the powertrain control module could cause a situation where there’s an incorrect fuel mixture. In certain situations, this can cause the truck to stall, which is obviously not ideal.
