A duo of 2024 Porsche 911 prototypes were spotted testing on the Nürburgring, giving us our best look yet at what to expect looks-wise from the refreshed 992-generation sports car.

The cars, a coupe and a cabriolet, are sporting a handful of cosmetic changes differentiating them from the current 992. Both cars have a new tail light arrangement and camouflaged exhaust areas. Both cars are sporting a dual-exhaust setup, though the convertible's exhaust tip arrangement seems similar to the setup seen on 911 Carrera S models equipped with the Sport package. The coupe's exhaust mountings remind us of the design found on the Cayenne Turbo GT.

The biggest changes can be found at the front of these 992.2 test mules. In the video above you'll see two different coupes, each sporting a unique front bumper design. The cabriolet is also wearing one of these designs.

There's no word on what type of powertrain upgrades we should expect for the 992.2 right now, obviously. At minimum Porsche will give a small bump in power to each trim level, though there are some rumors a hybrid model will finally enter the lineup. CEO Oliver Blume confirmed back in January a 911 hybrid was in development, but didn't give a timeline for when it might arrive. No time like the present, right?
