When I saw Broken Motorsports' Nissan 370Z rally car roll in, I knew I was in the right spot.

I guess that's not quite true. I knew I was going in the right direction when I turned off the highway behind a Ferrari 488, both of us bound for the Car Lofts in Kingsbridge, New Jersey, not a far drive from the potholed Manhattan streets that surround Road & Track's NYC office.

This was our Motorsports Cars and Coffee, put on by our Experiences team to celebrate our Motorsports issue, on shelves now. We wanted to gather a few of our favorite race cars for people to see, and talk a bit about what went into putting the issue together.

I didn't quite expect the quality of cars we got, particularly the Revolution track day special that Classic Car Club Manhattan trailered out for us. That and the Spyker in attendance, owned by a very lucky and kind couple from Brooklyn. Not only did they know Victor Muller, the Spyker boss who tried to buy up and revive Saab, they had lunch with him whenever he was in the city.
