Formula Formula 1 racer Romain Grosjean is getting another chance in the NTT IndyCar Series.

On Thursday, the Juncos Hollinger Racing team announced that it has added the 37-year-old Grosjean to race its No. 77 Chevrolet in 2024. At Juncos Hollinger, Grosjean will pair with second-year IndyCar driver Argentine Agustin Canapino.

Grosjean is coming off an uninspiring season with Andretti Autosport, where he finished 13th in the NTT IndyCar Series season standings. He did have back-to-back runner-up finishes at Long Beach and Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., but those proved to be his only podium finishes in 2023.

Grosjean has scored six podiums in 47 career IndyCar races from 2021-23. He raced one year for Dale Coyne Racing and the past two years with Andretti.

Prior to that, it was 10 years in Formula 1, where he scored 10 podium finishes in 179 starts.

"I've been closely following JHR's ascension in the past few seasons," Grosjean said. "The team has showcased significant growth and I am eager to contribute my experience as we aim for a strong 2024 season."

Two weeks ago, Juncos announced a contract extension with the 33-year-old Canapino, who finished 21st in the IndyCar Series driver championship his rookie year.

“Romain brings an unparalleled pedigree in motorsports. His leadership and experience are precisely what we need to propel JHR to new heights in the NTT IndyCar Series,” JHR team co-owner Ricardo Juncos said.
