A passenger plane has disappeared from flight radars in the Tomsk region of Siberia, Russian state media reported Friday, citing the Siberian Rescue Center.

There were at least 13 people on board the Antonov An-28 aircraft, Tass and Interfax reported, while RIA Novosti put the number at 17. Tass reported that four children were on board.

The aircraft "stopped communicating," and an emergency beacon was later recorded in the Bakcharsky district in Tomsk, Interfax's source said.
