Safety and Driver Assistance
Safety and Driver Assistance Rating:
*Due to lack of NHTSA and IIHS crash testing.
Safety-minded consumers can equip their Evoque with a number of active-safety features including automated emergency braking and lane-keeping assist. However, they must first opt for a more expensive trim level such as the Landmark Edition or the HSE, since neither of these features are available on the base SE trim. Because NHTSA and IIHS have not yet tested an Evoque's safety performance, we are unable to provide a rating here.
What's New for 2018?
Land Rover hasn't made any changes to the Evoque's passive- or active-safety features for 2018, and neither NHTSA nor IIHS have released crash-test results.
Crash-Test Results
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the nonprofit, independent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluate vehicles for crashworthiness in the United States. NHTSA assigns cars an overall rating out of five stars. IIHS uses a different set of tests, grades cars on a scale of Good to Poor, and awards the vehicles that perform best across its tests with Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ honors, the latter of which requires that the subject's automated forward-collision-braking system performs well.
