Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen Will Drive Their Ferrari F1 Cars at Daytona

From Road & Track

Every year, Ferrari hosts an event called Finali Mondiali, a multi-day celebration of the brand's participation in motorsports. This year's event should be extra special because it's being held at Daytona, and Ferrari is planning on bringing Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen and their F1 cars. In the process, they're going to make history.

This marks the first time in Datyona's 57-year history that F1 cars will drive on the track, and based on what Ferrari promises in a press release, it should be one heck of a sight. Ferrari will use Daytona's 3.56-mile road course and plan on letting Vettel and Raikkonen run some hot laps. In addition, Ferrari plans to bring some historic F1 cars to add to the fun.

While F1 used to race at Indianapolis, there are no tracks on its current calendar with anything like Daytona's 31-degree banking. Seeing modern, high-downforce F1 cars on a track like Daytona should be incredible.

Finali Mondiali, which is held from December 1st-4th, will also feature various Ferrari Challenge races and a demonstration of the brand's track-only XX cars. In other words, this is heaven for Ferrari fans.
